| Proposed SetsSet 1 : Physically DefensiveAbility: Poison Heal Nature: Impish Item: Toxic Orb IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Baton Pass - Sand Tomb - Counter - Power Trick Set 2 : Specially DefensiveAbility: Poison Heal Nature: Careful Item: Toxic Orb IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Baton Pass - Sand Tomb - Counter - Power Trick So many EMs O.O but most have a better option by Level Up. A second specially defensive set is also relevant, but we'd fall into that discussion that it's easy for us to simply change the nature. Should I do one or both sets? Other than that, I don't know about Power Trick. Theoretically it could be an interesting option for EM. Opinions

| Night Slash is outclassed by Knock Off. Should go Sand Tomb instead so it can trap things that cant touch it to get free boosts to Baton Pass. | |

| What about Agility? It's another move that can be used along with Baton Pass. I'd personally prefer it over either Double-Edge or Cross Poison/ Power Trick. | |

| Oh yeah, what the heck Rafa? Where's agility? Lol.
Also since it's built for defense, would counter be a better move over double edge? I don't really see any use for double edge really. I guess maybe with poison heal it's not that bad really.

| The reason Rafa doesnt have Agility is because Rock Polish exists and is somehow learned by Gliscor.
Also Bunsel its Pokemon with low Defense and high HP that make best use of Counter. Gliscor's HP isnt too high and it has too high Defense to make use of it effectively. Its reliable recovery may make it fun to use though so I personally would like it more than a attacking move. Earthquake/Knock Off/Ice Fang/Acrobatics/Facade are really all the coverage it'll need.

| People gave attention to Gligar :'D yep, it learns Rock Polish lol
so... you want counter... which move do you think I should take?
and opinions on breeding both physically defensive and specially defensive sets?

| I think Cross Poison is directly outclassed by Poison Jab, and Double-Edge is outclassed by Facade, so... I think Baton Pass/Counter/Power Trick/Sand Tomb is the best set.
I'm not against 2 sets either for something as useful as Gliscor, but I don't want to open that can of worms again... the EMs would be the same, at least.

| I think maybe it could be OK. With the big healing it could be useful. And like blue said, facade is better in every way.
If specially defensive is good, I'm fine with it, but it's two weaknesses are special.

| I really think that thing deserves 2 sets. Gliscor is so good.
Maybe Jolly with Sand Veil?

| Hmm, you know Rafa, I looked up specially defensive, and it is awesome. I am perfectly fine with a specially defensive set, although I realize that it's going to only be a nature change.
Here's the thing about Gliscor, I really don't see how sand veil is better, I feel like these egg moves are the best in all scenarios, and any set should be poison heal. So I really don't see the point including another, except to be specially defensive.

| I think Jolly Gliscor is better than specially defensive Gliscor but I'm fine with any. And Sand Veil would make the 2nd set more different and it could be really good paired with Bright Powder in competitions where evasion is allowed (I would definitely try it out in one of the Montreal League tournaments), but then again, I know Poison Heal is awesome and I can breed my own Sand Veil set easily if I need it so I'll let everyone else decide. | |

MC confirmed member of Al-Qaeda But yes, Sand Veil probably merits a slot. But I think Careful > Jolly personally. IDK, maybe a poll is in order?

| For careful, you need poison heal. If Gliscor is going defensive, it's going to have to have poison heal I think. The status protection and insane recovery is way too valuable to pass up. The only thing that may benefit from sand veil over poison heal (aside from nothing) would be an offensive set. Unless you're talking about a boosting careful set.
Also, thanks for alerting CIA snooping division to this board.

| If we're doing another set, I'm voting for a specially defensive one | |

| I'd probably also vote specially defensive, just because the main trick that distinguishes Gliscor is its defensive capabilities with healing and status resistance (unless you suck like me and get one burned...) | |

| Anyway, i'd like to see an offensive Gliscor too (leaning more towards Hyper Cutter to block Intimidate) but that can easily be bred individually. For common usage, Gliscor is usually defensive so I'm fine with that. | |

| Hmm, a boosting one with hyper cutter isn't a bad idea. But again, seems like poison heal is best there too, because you always like that much healing, and intimidate is situational. | |

| I love Gliscor. The only thing that could make it better is a British accent (or turning into an Alakazam on demand). A jolly set with sub+sd+eq+ice fang or knock off is awesome. I agree with Bunsel that Poison Heal is the better ability in almost every case but really, Gliscor can make anything work. After all, it's Batman. Anyway, maybe there could be a poll with jolly vs careful since both seem to be getting some love? And when we have the nature we can vote for the ability? | |

| OK, you just said batman should have a British accent. This is why no great superheroes come out of Canada. Gliscor talks like Clint Eastwood or Christian Bale, end of story. | |
