Well of course you don't drink a maple syrup shot. But just the right amount of it on almost anything is like paradise *-*

If someone really wants to join after that they can, but they won't get all the pokemon we bred before they arrived (unless maybe they do like BlueDryBones and breed 6 pokemon each round).

I've actually had a maple syrup shot before. Was pretty good.

I eat Karo Light Corn Syrup on pancakes and waffles and such, amazing. Make syrup is great, but seriously, don't knock this stuff before you try it.

Also, drinking straight maple syrup will induce vomiting, if I'm not mistaken.

Ew. American fake maple syrup made with corn syrup is TERRIBLE.

And nope, it doesn't, I have drunk a shot of maple syrup before and seen a friend drink a whole glass.

Fair enough, I'll probably do something similar to what BlueDryBones did and breed multiple Pokémon each round. Its summer so why not spend my free time couped up at home and breeding all day.

And zoid, corn syrup is in everything only in America. In other countries, we already understood that it was bad (it's bad for you AND the taste is bad).

But corn syrup itself is actually not bad for you (at least in comparison to other syrups). High Fructose Corn Syrup is bad for you due to the large amount of sugar in it, specifically fructose, which causes it to be sweeter and rapidly digested. No, it's not maple syrup, it's just corn syrup. It's a little thicker than maple, and has a great taste. Zoid, try it.

I'm pretty sure the reason you don't have it is because you don't have loads of corn like we do, not because it's "bad".

And you just entered into a debate about corn syrup with someone who grew up on a farm.

Corn syrup has not been linked to obesity anymore than glucose. The first thing that happens to glucose when it enters the body is its metabolized into glucose, the same thing that's in regular sugar.

The problem in America is consumption. We have no control of intake. Even if Twinkies were made with regular sugar, people would still be fat. The fact that fructose is sweeter just means we need less of it to sweeten things, which means stuff with it is cheaper, hence the consumption problem.

Honey is almost all fructose... the same as corn syrup...

Don't worry we do have loads of corn. Corn is good. Corn syrup is bad. It doesn't taste nearly as good as maple, honey or cane sugar.

And don't worry, everyone is aware that Americans have a consumption problem

Stevia is a plant which is now being used for sugar replacement due to its sweet taste and that its "healthy". Its not bad, we've actually grown it before, but it just ruins the taste of certain things.

Seriously though, I think we were healthier before we knew about this stuff. The stress of eating healthy is causing us more problems than the food.
