| If it's 0 speed, you should have a brave nature. I'm not sure if others would want a trick room spread though | |

| I think I should make a poll, right? Because imo the set wouldn't change... just the strategy. I could make a poll with Rhyperior (set) 1 & Rhydon (set) 2 and Rhyperior 2 & Rhydon 1 | |

| Yeah, I'd just make these two sets. If the sets aren't going to change, there's no need to make a poll. | |

| Isn't jolly useless with the terrible speed?
I'd vote Adamant Rhyperior and Careful/Adamant Rhydon... (With eviolite, Rhydon's defenses become pretty awesome, and even its special defense becomes decent, so having a careful nature is worth it imo)

| Also for Rhyperiod I think the last em should be ice fang, and for Rhydon I'd make it Counter.
And Rock Head (Solid Rock) for Rhyperior, and Lightningrod on Rhydon for doubles.

| I think the thinking is Rock Polish, but 40 speed isn't that great. Although you do hit 202 speed at level 50 after a boost, not bad. | |

I think the discussion for Rhyhorn is going to be a long one XD

| Even then, does iron tail actually have use? What is it hitting harder than EdgeQuake that we need to sacrifice that much accuracy? I know we use focus blast on things, but that's because we need the coverage and it has 120 base power.
And I agree with bones, at least metal burst needs to be on the tank set.

| Personally I think I would go with:
Rhydon
Set 2 : Tank / Doubles Ability: Lightningrod Nature: Careful / Adamant Item: Eviolite IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Curse - Metal Burst - Fire Fang - Ice Fang
Rhyperior
Set 3 : Offensive Ability: Solid Rock Nature: Adamant / Jolly Item: Protector IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Metal Burst - Crunch - Fire Fang - Ice Fang

Forgot to mention I'm fine with either nature in both cases. Jolly Rhyperior with Rock Polish does sound interesting. I probably wouldn't go with both Adamant, but either Adamant/Jolly, Careful/Adamant or Careful/Jolly is fine with me.

| The first set needs Rock Head->Solid Rock Rhyperiors best ability as I dont think we'll be using Rhydon for both thus doesnt need Eviolite for set #1 Curse>Fire Fang/Ice Fang Imo as well for set #1 | |

| I like the defensive rhydon and offensive rhyperior. Eviolite lets Rhydon wall better than Rhyperior, despite solid rock.
But quite honestly, rock/ground is one of the worst type combos in the game. I'm not even sure defensive is a good idea ever. Plus, no rocks. The best set is the offensive Rhyperior.

| So how about :
Rhydon Ability: Lightningrod Nature: Adamant Item: Eviolite IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Curse - Metal Burst - Fire Fang - Ice Fang
Rhyperior Ability: Solid Rock Nature: Jolly Item: Protector IV spread: 31/31/31/x/31/31 Hidden Power: Not Relevant Egg Moves: - Metal Burst - Crunch - Fire Fang - Ice Fang
?
Rock/Ground IS a terrible defensive typing, so Jolly Rhyperior with Rock Polish is probably the best idea so you can kill stuff before dying. And then Rhydon gets Adamant because Careful wouldn't help it that much (most special moves used against it are 4X effective anyway).

| Yeah, I don't even know how needed Rhydon is at this point. Eviolite is great, but it's weak to like every special move and doesn't have the padding of Solid Rock. | |

| I think Jolly + Rock Polish Rhyperior has the greatest potential. Hmmmm instead of Iron Tail, Metal Burst. It can be indeed worthier. Cool As for the Rhydons... Reckless could be more useful, but Rhydon's movepool doesn't favor it that much. So I'd go with Lightninrod, it can be helpful in doubles as Ms. C mentioned. So... I'd go with Solid Rock Jolly Rhyperior and Lightningrod Adamant Rhydon. | |

Perhaps you should consider this to one of the parents(not the final product) rafakp, makes it so that parent can have the IVs and ball making it easier. Otherwise let me know if you still need me to get you a Heavy Ball from HG.

So... I'd go with Solid Rock Jolly Rhyperior and Lightningrod Adamant Rhydon. Basically agree, but don't want to defend it via thinking If you want to satisfy everyone you can do the Jolly one holing Ability Capsule and a Adamant Rock Head/Lightningrod one holding Eviolite, you can change the Ability of the Adamant one using AC on the first if you want to not evolve it. You can give a Protector to one of the other Pokemon you'll be breeding(or any other item for that case) If someone wants 2 Adamant ones they simply ask the cloner for a second in the future. Jolly one has 3 coverage moves + Metal Burst Adamant has Curse+Metal Burst+2 coverage moves try to make the coverage moves different I gurantee noone will use them and its just better to give us access to alot of them.

| Honestly, I don't...
No one is going to use a Jolly Rhydon, and no one is going to use any ability other than Solid Rock on Rhyperior, so the jolly set needs Protector, and the coverage moves are pretty much the best you can get (no one is ever going to use Iron Tail or Skull Bash). So I wouldn't change anything on the Jolly set.
The Adamant set can be used as either Rhydon or Rhyperior, except it needs the other ability if you want to make it a Rhyperior. So maybe the ability capsule can be useful, but I still prefer having Eviolite because it is meant to be a Rhydon and if someone really wants a Rhyperior, it's pretty easy to get an ability capsule or to just breed a new one with the right ability. And the move are still the best they can be...

| Well I mean I have an Eviolite, maybe two. I don't have an ability capsule. The item attached is not required to be on there. I'd rather rack up capsules than Eviolite, because needing more than one per any battle short of little cup is not a good idea, and capsules are expensive and harder for me to get.
He said one was holding protector and the other ability capsule.

| Actually he said one holding eviolite and one holding ability capsule... but the jolly set definitely needs protector.
As for eviolite vs ability capsule, well, I'm pretty much the opposite because I have ability capsules and never use them, so I'd much rather have a spare eviolite. So I guess that depends on the person.
In any case, I don't think we should change the egg moves, and I also think the jolly set should hold the Protector. As long as we're using these egg moves and getting the protector, well, if most people want an AC instead of Eviolite for the Rhydon set, I guess I can deal with it.
