Here's one of Tangrowth's best set. I, myself, brilliantly came up with it (copied from somewhere else), so if there's anything absurdly wrong, please tell me.

Set 2 : Defensive
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Bold
Item: Big Root
IV spread: 31/odd/31/31/31/30
Hidden Power: Ice
Egg Moves:
- Amnesia
- Endeavor
- Rage Powder
- Leech Seed

Physically defensive Tangela for the lower tiers is a definite option, with Eviolite, it can take some hits. Plus, that can be turned into physically defensive Tangrowth if you want.

Also, if we're going for sassy, i don't think 30 speed is necessary. Just get an even number.

Also yeah, what Bunsel said. For the physically defensive set, Relaxed or Bold?

Since it could turn into a Tangrowth, i would go relaxed.

Less Natural Gift more Rage Powder.

Also I'd go Bold b/c Tangela has nice Speed. I wont be using that Tangela anyways though b/c I'll be breeding my own more later.

Well Rage Powder can be on the physically defensive set, but it's kind of useless on an Assault Vest set... Both moves are useless though so I don't care either way.

Yes, yes I do. However I bred Tangela a long time ago and have been wanting to redo it for a while for a Shiny as all the NFEs I use I want to be shiny.

I think I might want to go with Bold too on the 2nd set.

Idk about the hidden power, both rock and ice sound useful. But maybe rock is better for covering weaknesses since with a special set you can't use Earthquake.

Ice is better because it hits grass types. The crux of the defensive set is leech seed, so you need a hidden power that can hit the one type you can't seed. And ice is better on the AV set because you get earthquake.

Both should have 30 Spe Ice imo. Tangela needs it more though b/c of what Bunsel said. Its meant to be a Seeder and needs something to get past Grass types.

I allowed myself to edit your post to keep only the ice hidden power spreads (since Bunsel is right), and added a poll for the nature o.o

Oh, forget I even said relaxed, this is a Tangela set and it should be bold.

Make it 30 Spe HP Ice for Tangela not 30 Def.

This is looking great, I love Tangrowth and I really want to use an assault vest set.
