Mixed sounds great, but I'm afraid that with that speed, the only way to keep it viable is a scarf or specs, and after nature and investment it has enough coverage moves to more than make up for what it might gain physically. I mean, it's not like you'll ever click anything besides boom burst, and if you do, it likely has the more powerful special moves as an option coming off your invested attack. The only time it may make a difference is in the arena of x4 effectiveness, and thats awfully situational.

Just as a point of reference, a naive Exploud with full speed and special attack will do about 15-20 percent less with boom burst than with thunder punch, and both are 2hkos.

I'm ok with mixed but...

Explain more. Maybe I'm not getting it or my English is off. Because this part of your post doesn't make sense. Why would Boomburst make 15-20% less than Thunder Punch, when special attack is fully invested. Base power alone, Boomburst will always do more damage.

Both Boomburst and Thunder punch are 2HKO? On what?

Haha oh man, I forgot to put the Pokemon.

Gyarados is the Pokemon. I'm saying a boom burst isn't that far behind as a neutral attack when stacked up against a x4 effective attack. So I don't like mixed.

Haha. Makes sense now. Thanks.

I guess I'll put up a poll for nature and/or set.
